How we care for you

Care starts here. We check for health risks early, make sure your medicines are working for you, and connect you to the right next step, whether that's our PCDT pharmacist, clinic doctor, nurse or wellness team.

  • Health checks: blood glucose, blood pressure, peak flow for asthma, and HB tests for iron levels
  • More in-depth blood tests requested through our affiliated pathology laboratories
  • Discovery health checks and Vitality testing, and GEMS screening tests
  • Medication advice and support to stay on track
  • Referral to our clinic doctor or PCDT pharmacist when needed

04 PCDT consultations

No doctor's appointment needed for common conditions

Shanil Singh holds a South African Pharmacy Council Primary Care Drug Therapy (PCDT) permit. That means he can consult with you, assess your symptoms and, where appropriate, prescribe treatment for common primary health care conditions, right here in the pharmacy.

  • Colds, flu and sore throats
  • Sinus and ear infections
  • Allergies and hay fever
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Skin rashes and eczema
  • Stomach upsets

Medical aid cover: PCDT consultations are covered by GEMS, Discovery Health and Profmed. Members of other medical aids are welcome; please ask us about cover or cash fees.
